WorshipAt Acton Bethel Christian Reformed Church we strive to plan an inspiring worship service that tells the story of God's love and saving grace in each of our lives. Service themes are relational to our lives today as we seek to encourage people to draw closer to God. Our ultimate goal is always to bring all the honor and glory to our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Every Sunday morning we gather for worship at 10 a.m. (Nursery available for all morning service.) There is an evening service on the first and third Sunday of the month at 6:30 p.m. The second and fourth Sunday evenings are reserved for Small Group meetings that meet in various locations. If you would like to join a Small Group meeting please contact our Small Group Coordinator. On the fifth Sunday of a month we share some great food and wonderful fellowship with an evening potluck & program at 5pm. Everyone welcome. Just bring a favorite casserole, salad or dessert. The worship services are "blended" in that they blend hymns and newer contemporary music. The theme of the day is enhanced throughout the service through scripture, music, readings, the message, visuals and sometimes worships movement. As the Pastor and Worship Coordinator plan the services together, they try to utilize the gifts of the congregation by having them participate in the services regularly. To accompany congregational singing we have Worship Teams and organ sharing the service most weeks. We have been blessed with people gifted in playing instruments such as the grand piano, guitars, drums, flutes, trumpets and the organ but are always open to having new members join our music ministries. Currently we have four worship teams that lead worship on a rotating schedule. Children ages 3-11 years join us at the beginning of the morning worship service and are then dismissed to attend Sunday School classes downstairs if they wish. (Summer Sunday School is provided for children 3-5 years) We welcome newcomers to come down with their children at first, so that they feel comfortable in their classes. Child care is available every Sunday morning for babies and toddlers. Children must be signed in and out of the nursery. We hold our responsibility of providing a loving and safe environment for our young ones very seriously. Throughout the year we have special worship services, either in celebration of one of the church calendar events, or to provide for alternative forms of worship. Children are also included and part of the worship services. Whether through providing a Children's Message for them before they go down to Sunday School or having them share a song, musical gifts or a reading, they are valued as important members of our church family.
